Auidio video questions

Audio Video Questions
Sorry long post and many Questions
2004 lariat supercrew

I've been looking at double DIN video head units, I was fixing to order a Kenwood DDX512 and the ipod av cable. I have a gen 2 ipod touch. (1)Does anybody know it the touch is fully compatible with the Kenwood through the Ipod cable? All the current Kenwoods are being discontinued to make way for the 09 models. I am planing on loading all my music on the touch and pretty much do away with cds.

Next I am planing on doing the install myself. The new HU and I am adding an amp and sub.
(2)Where is a good spot in the firewall to get the power wire threw to the battery for the amp?
I have to run a set of AV cables for a rear monitor , the RCA cables and the remote wire for the amp and the goroud wire for the override. I plan on going down the dash and run the wires under the passenger side threshold plates, ( 3) is their enough room behind the ac controls to get all them wires down ( it was so much easer when the radios came under ther ac) and is their enough room under the plates for all them wires plus the amp hot wire?

  1. most people put their Ipod or usb in the glove box. Has anybody put it in the center console? If so how did you get it in their? I really don't want to drill a hole as big as a usb end. And were are the ac ducks in the console don't want to hit one of them eathier.
Thanks
