Factory floormats

I just ordered a set of factory floormats off of eBay and received them today. I was wondering if anyone else that has the factory floormats have noticed the driver's side one is tiny? It just barely goes under the brake pedal, doesn't go under the gas pedal at all and doesn't cover the carpet on the left side of the brake pedal. It looks to be way too small. The passenger side one is fine.

"Holy $$$$$$$" to these also.

It's been some time ago but I did see a Lariat with OEM all weather mats (had F150 embossed down the side) and I beleive they are like $75 (front pair) from a dealership but don't take that to the bank though.

I agree...Weathertechs are awesome,
Husky liners are a good option too that are a bit cheaper...
either one is outstanding for protecting your floors and takes the stress off of using your truck as a truck...3 inches of mud on your feet (or kids) are no problem that a quick rinse can't fix...factory floormats don't come close...

A question to those tyhat have the Husky liners. It looks like they have a raised edge on the side. Do you ever catch your foot on that when exiting the truck? Does it ever come out? Am looking for a good set for my 03 excursion. Cant find the factory All weathers so need to go aftermarket.

I believe all the aftermarket floor mats still utilize the little hook on the floor so they won't slide out.

The weathertech's cost more but are a better design made out of better material. I have Husky's because I got a good price on a like new used set but like the weathertech's quality/design much better. I have not had any issues with the raised edge. The liners have the spikes on the back that hook into the carpet very effectively so they stay put.

Weathertechs all the way. I've had them in my 06 for 2 years. My carpet looks showroom new... I have the camel color interior and I'm sure the carpet would be trashed without the weathertechs...

The OEM mats are too small and don't protect enough of the carpet on the driver's side.

No one anwered his question... I asked the same thing, and the answer I got is that they can not have the matt within 3" of the gas pedal... Told me it was fed regulation now... Don't know if I believe them, but that is how they make them.

I have WEATHERTECHS in mine as well; Absolutely awesome. They also have the notched hole that hooks right into your factory matt pin hold down. Another nice feature is the edge of the liner is tapered down to run the water right out of the truck instead of the huskys which I beleive hold it in. I still keep the factory matt on top so I dont have to clean the liner as much.

I want the weatherttecks but they dont show a listing for the Excursion, only the F SD trucks. IS the floor different? I'll order the Weathertech floor liners if they match up. Maybe the Catch all extreme if they are non skid. Any experience with either.

My wife thinks Im crazy obsessing over the idea of "mats" but like one onther member said..."...Crack could be cheaper..."

Thanks for your input.

Yes, factory mats are rediculous. I have them in my 03 x and it looks way way too small. My 2007 non-Ford also has a smaller than it should mat. Under the pedal is exposed too.
