broken pin in steering column?

broken pin in steering column?
I have a 97 cc 4x4 with e40d I went to shift from reverse to foward and heard something break. Now I can't get out of drive. Does anyone know the procedure for replacing the (pin) , I presume, in the steering column? Thanks for any advice....this site is awesome!

Did you check under the dash there is a bracket with (2) # 30 Torx head screws they have a tendancy to work loose, there is a picture here on forum of what to look for. Mine were backed out about 1/2 inch. Try that first.
