97 PSD E4OD
I recently purchased a '97 PSDF350 Crew Cab DRW. I previously had '93 F250 w/351 & E4OD. The '97 does not shift at all like the 93 when new or after I replaced it at 85K w/a Jasper rebuild. Is it normal for the PSD to hold the gears at low speeds/rpms almost to the point of redlining? And is it normal to jerk through them when accelerated hard? I tow a 28' 5th wheel and plan on replacing the stock cooler with a larger capacity and going to synthetic this spring. Any info on the E4OD after the alledged upgrade by Ford in 96? would be appreciated.
