I am looking into getting a new exhaust system for my 99 F250. What is the best system for price and quality? I want a 4" turbo back system. Will these systems include the up-pipes or will I have to buy those separately? I need new up-pipes as they are leaking. Thanks, Mike.
If the up pipes are leaking and you want a cure-all fix, look into a set of bellowed up-pipes. You can get them from your local IH dealer, or ITP sells them on their website. Here's a write up of the install Welcome to Pocket's International UP-Pipe Replacement Web Page
If you don't want to do the bellowed up pipes, a set of donut gaskets for a small block will work to seal the pipes.
You may want stainless, and also I think the stainless kits come with a tip. That kit is aluminized and doesn't come with a tip as far as I know. Rick's is a good kit.
I think I am going to order the MBRP tomorrow. Is this kit something that can be installed in the driveway? If I back the truck into the garage I can only get it in to the cab because its too tall. I'm in Omaha, NE and it's suppose to be quite cold the end of next week. If I drive to Des Moines, IA (2 hrs) I can use my buddies shop to do the job. Would you freeze your butt off in Omaha and do the job by yourself or drive to Des Moines and do the job in a warm shop with a buddies help?
If I was to simply replace the donuts on the up-pipes and lube with antisieze, how long am I looking at until they would need replaced again? I would like to do the exhaust system now and the up-pipes later, say in a year or two. Also, how would I go about replacing the donuts? Would I just remove the turbo and be able to access the donuts from there?
