Dirty boots and tubes

Attached are some photos of the boost tubes and boots on my 99 F250 7.3l Super Duty. Should I disassemble these, clean, and reinstall? This will help increase my fuel mileage, correct? Anything esle I should do while I'm in there.

When I cleaned, painted and reinstalled my IC pipes I gained about 4# of boost. So mine were leaking, and I didn't know it. If you want to stop this from happening again. Do the CCV mod. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/284862-ccv-mod.html

Yeah, I have been reading up on guzzle's ccv mod and have been thinking of doing it. Probably will next weekend. Why do you paint the tubes, for looks?

no, polishing them takes forever, and the end result is far from pretty. It's just not suitable metal for polishing, you could powdercoat them
