Transgo video

I watched the video for the E40D/4R100 today on the Transgo website, but it just looks too simple. I mean, I like the fact that there wasn't much to it, but for $100.00 I would expect there to be more to it. Is that video for the Tugger kit, or is it just for the regular kit? There appears to be only gaskets and changing valve body springs? I thought there was drilling that had to be done. You guys that have done it, what is there in the Tugger kit that isn't in the regular kit?

The video just shows the accumulator vb mods with out any drilling. The gaskets they show don't come with the kits anymore. As far as drilling. You only have to drill the vb's if the slots(shown in the instructions aren't present). I had to drill both vb's, but it's not bad. The instructions show you where to drill and the bits are included with the kit. I did not have to drill the solenoid pack, nor has any else that I know of. You will have to drill the calibration plate. It comes with the kit, and the instructions tell you where to drill and what size to drill depending on application. Check out Mike's write up.

When you get ready to install send me a pm and I'll send ya my cell#, in case you have any questions. It's not bad at all, just get plenty of rags and brake cleaner.

Yes it really is that simple, but it's a lot more messy than he makes it look in the video. If you're going to do this 1) don't buy from Oregon performance transmission, and 2) as Mike was kind enough to point out to me, buy lots of brake cleaner. I used about 7 cans.
