19 lb injectors

I replaced my injectors yesterday with some remanufactored injectors off eBay.

eBay Motors: 19 lb Fuel Injector F150 F250 E150 4.6 5.0 5.4 5.8 19lb (item 260337785447 end time Dec-28-08 22:02:54 PST)=

My truck is now running rough, and I had to remove the #5 injector and put an old injector in just to get it running. Are these the wrong injectors or is this guy just trying to scam me with bad injectors?

I got to thinking maybe I should just go with the Ford injectors. Are they the best? Thanks

Ford uses Bosch like everyone else does.....maybe you either had a bad one or it didn't seal right? I swapped for 24lbs Ford Racing injectors I purchased from Steeda and made darn sure the seats in the intake were clean and the O-rings were lubed with vasoline before installing them.

Ebay is convenient, but not always the best answer for parts.

The problem with these claims is that the computer is calibrated to expect a certain flow pattern and performance from the injectors, and when something like that is changed, the computer may not know how to compensate.

If you have access to a scanner, check to long term fuel trim, and post the result here. Short term doesn't matter as much for this purpose.

Good point. I had the 24lbs values loaded into my tuner because they wouldn't work correctly if you just swap them over.....these trucks come stock with 19lbs injectors so any claims of an improvement is false I think.

Thanks for the information. You guys have helped me out again. I was able to fix the injector by tapping it with a screwdrive for ten minutes and now it seems to be working like ti should. Thanks
