The only plug to run in an older Ford is a motorcraft. The bosh platinums tend to create a rough idle, and the E3 plugs are snake oil. What else did they do on HP to make that car gain? Cold air intake, new fuel filter?

1. I was considering these for my well built 460 w/ aluminum heads, etc...
2. It was a engine dyno with "Plug A", a cool down and swap to E3 plugs, and a second dyno. The plugs produce the gain.
I've run these in pulling tractors because normally I would have to index the plug (on a flathead, you make a mark on the outside of the plug that allows you to point the plug gap towards the piston for more power). However, I got the same power with the e3 without the trouble of indexing the plugs, and Ive been running them for a very long time with no loss of performance.
honestly, a plug is a plug is a plug. the 5.5HP gain is well within the "noise" of a dyno, and honestly that gain is prob because the bosch were used plugs that were done. try it yourself, run a dyno on the plugs you run now, swap to new plugs, and see the HP "gain" from your new plugs. its all marketing, and they are nothing more then snake oil. if you believe that these work better then any other plug, then i have another system that will save you fuel...
I just changed my plugs and it had the bosch platnuim 2 plugs in it. Switched to NGK V powers and made a huge difference in idle and throttle response.
well it is up to the person that is open to trying new things i gus and that is me and i put sume in my 351w and i ame seeing a good change in the performanc but i have to go off the feal of the truck i dont have acses to a dino and my speedo dont work but i do like them
Bosch plat's are worthless IMO, I have had several customers over the last few years that did their own tune up and got the Bosch platinums as reccomended by the local Autozone counter guru. Put in some autolites and problem solved. Motorcrafts are good in fords, champ's in dodge, ngk in japs, and Bosch in german cars only. Autoltes seem universal in my experience
I bought them (MADE IN CHINA) put them in my 06 Focus for the mileage increase I to watched Hot rod t.v.I got worse mileage I want from 31 to 29 and Fofo seems to idle with vibration. They may do better in older stuff thou.
It's endless....promote the new miracle spark plug. Just put in OEM plugs and get on with it. I'm hearing some of these plugs don't last as long, center wears away.
