Alternator Light Flashing W/O Load
Hi All
I'm wondering what suggestion some of you may have on why my alternator light flashes when there is not a load. It flashes continuously until i turn on the heater, headlights, etc.. Could this be a time to replace the V/R? Before this was going on all my lights in the truck would seem to have a pulse and they still do. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Check to make sure that you have a solid ground strap between sheetmetal (firewall is the most common) and the block. The regulator grounds through its mounting flange, so the inner fender well must have a solid return path to the block.
