tranny bang

I have an 08 f250 auto s/c 158 wb gas

I have noticed when I shift that it makes kinda a metallic bang when it goes in to gear...doesnt make any noises while shifting up and down during driving...just seem to make the noise when going from park to drive or park to reverse...any ideas????

also I was thinking about getting a turbonator and an X3 STC xcalibrator to squeeze a little more hp out of my 5.4 v-8...I read one of the threads about the X3 and everyone seems to like it...but I havent ever heard anything on the turbonator....Turbonator

any suggestions?

Tranny bang

I have an 08 f250 with 5.4l and an auto tranny...I have noticed when I shift from park to drive it kjnda makes a metallic bang...the same from park to reverse...it shifts fine while driving...is this normal?

also I was thinking about getting a turbonator to boost HP a little any one have any experience with one??

The Bang could be Ujoints or needing to grease the yoke. Either way, you have a warranty, if your coming up on a service, it would nice to ask them to check both.

If your u-joints check out fine you are feeling the mechanical back lash in the transmission they all will have some slack in these trans from 08 up and it is normal
