So we were up at our cabin last weekend and there was about 4 feet of snow. The cabin is on a one lane street, hilly and icy. My wife and I were shoveling the driveway and the Excursion’s rear bumper was slightly sticking out in the road, which was a solid ice, hilly road. A mental giant in a brand new Range Rover was starting to come down the hill.
Me “Wait two minutes and I’ll pull all the way in the driveway.”
Him “No, it’s ok, I got it.”
Me “It’s REALLY icy here, just wait two minutes.”
Him “No, I got it.”
Me “Bad idea”
Him “I know what I’m doing”
As his Range Rover starts to lose traction, he starts to slide to the back of the Ex, just as I thought he would. He makes first contact to me on the my driver’s side back bumper corner with his front fender, just past the front turn signal light. The crease continued as he continued to slide. The crease went from the front of his front fender, through the driver’s door, the back seat door, the rear panel and then broke his taillight. So a big crease on the ENTIRE side and a busted taillight and not even a scratch on the Excursion. He gets out, stares at his damage for a minute, then walks over to me and asks what damage I have. I told him I didn’t even have a scratch .
My neighbor then yells from his balcony “Just couldn’t wait two minutes, huh?”
Mr. Range Rover then left with a seriously damaged ego.
Thats Classic!!! Great story. What a dumb ***, its not like you didnt tell him to chill. To bad you didnt get some pics of his ride after your X tore through him. There is definatly some advantages to driving one of these beasts. If that black lifted excursion is the one that the dude hit... I dont feel sorry for him one bit. I would be super pissed to even scratch that black beauty!!!

But you're missing the point. It's a RANGE ROVER, the yuppie dream SUV, and probably cost more than your Ex. It has four wheel drive and can go on ice or anywhere it wants to go without ever spinning a wheel. I'll bet it can also go 60 mph in the snow and then stop on a dime.
The fact that it's an expensive SUV that has one of the highest incident of service and repair is not a factor and the fact that you're driving almost twice the vehicle doesn't mean you shouldn't be impressed!
Boy, thanks for the attitude "dump". I feel better now!
Range Rover is definetly a SoCal thing. Now before you think I'm bashing Cali,I was born and raised there, lived in SoCal for 48 years before moving to AZ 6 months ago.BTW-where's your cabin-Big Bear,Crestline,Arrowhead?

Yep....just goes to show you some people will spend to much on something proven to be junk, and have the idiotic behavior to go with their idiotic spending.
