I installed the egr cooler bypass kit. Upon completion the truck wouldn't start. I changed the icp and ipr. the truck started right away. I went down the road and the boot on the pipe coming from the turbo going to the intake poped off 3 times. i installed a new boot and clamp. now the truck is pouring coolant from the drivers side . 1,000 bucks worth of repairs and still no luck errrr! Anyone know what could be causing this? I appriciate you help in advance.
I see you have a 2004 which means no boost gauge. You should try and find out what the boost is doing for one and when you say pouring out is it pouring from underneath or are there traces of dried coolant on top of the engine.

I have a gauge pod. Max boost is around 32 lbs. I don't see any signs of coolant on the de-gas bottle. I don't see coolant on or around the heads. I'm wondering now if it was coming from the de-gas bottle though cause once it got below the min mark it stopped. I just ran it again and when i shut it off there is none leaking. (i got it up to temp too. ran about 30 miles or so). It does now have some serious turbo lag though. And I hear the sound of air coming from behind the turbo. I will check the clamp on the y-pipe. I think thats where it is coming from. Stay in touch....yall might get a truck for a good price if anything else happens ha!
I was just curious about the boost because these turbos are notorious for over boosting and that could have contributed to the boot blowing off. 32 lbs is actually on the high side. I believe 27 to 28 lbs is about normal.
No offense but it sounds like you are blaming the truck for some possibly shoddy mechanics work! I was thinking the same thing
Errrrhrrrr..... Come to find out it was not my "shoddy mechanics work". My lower radiator hose had a hole in it which was caused by it rubbing on the bracket.

I am thinking of installing the blocking plate on my 04, why did you install the bypass kit. The web site says if I am not using it for off roading on a regular basis I can just add the blocking plate.
