Not sure which headers to go with. Don't mind
spending money for power, just don't want to
waste money either. So here I go. Ready to put
new exhaust on, just a little lost. My truck
doesn't have a cat on it from the factory, so
thats not an issue. Manifolds to y-pipe are 2.25
and then it runs 2.25 single from there to stock
location behind rear wheel. So you have to agree
my truck really needs help. Do you get more low
end with long tubes or shorties? Thanks, sorry
so long just trying to explain what is on my
truck so you guys can HELP me the best way.
P.S. and yes I'm out of breath
I had a 86 F250 4x4 with a 351ho. I built a exhust using the stock Y pipe to a 3 inch exhust using a dynomax superturbo truck mufler with a 3 inch tail pipe. I never ran headers due to the fact I pulled a 7000lb trailer with it and I had heared that shortys can warp when pulling hard with them. I have heard that ford motorsport headers work well and so do JBA headers. The exhust was not to load but had a great sound, it also make allot of torque. You could really notice the difference when I installed it. Mine also had no cat.
