Unhappy No spark when cranking engine

I only get spark when I turn on and off the key. None when cranking the engine. Truck is a 1989 F250 with a 302 (I think) Not my truck and it is stuck in my garage. We just added another p/s unit for the plow lift and now it will not run. There is a black box that is wired into the ignition switch, we have no idea what it is. Could be remote start. Not sure though.

Any Ideas guys where I should look first. Not used to working on EFI systems.

Thanks

Pull the codes using a testlight or old analog meter. This site tells you how to do it. Ford Fuel Injection

We got her going. Ended up running the battery down while messing around with the truck. I put a fresh battery in and the truck fired right up. Must have had a error code in the computer or some kind of glitch. Seems to work ok now.
Thank you Franklin2 for your help.

Glad you got it going. I encourage anyone with a efi truck to study a little bit on how to pull the codes, and actually try it when the truck is running ok to get comfortable with doing it. It's not that hard, and is actually pretty neat to jump the wire and see the engine start reacting, and the computer start "talking" to you.

The computer does not always know the exact problem, but if it sees something that is not normal, it will spit out a code, and that can be a clue to the real problem.

I have a code reader for 96 and newer. I find that handy. The wiring was hacked up really bad, lots of splices and connectors around where the computer is. If the battery was charged full I would have done the codes. When we switched the battery I cranked the truck and it fired up. I might go visit and run the codes just to see what it tells me.
