So I've been a Park Ranger for a year now and my duty belt is still squeaking like it was brand new. Not the best thing for sneaking up on campers in the middle of the night. It's a Bianchi synthetic leather type. Anyone else out there have experience in quieting down a synthetic leather squeak? Thanks!
It is true that most times visibility is the best deterrent of crime. However, if Cracky McCrackhead in campsite 16 hears or sees me coming, he'll have a chance to hide his dope and I won't be able to bust him. Of course I've never dealt with crack smoking campers. What I have dealt with though: the look on a 17 year old's face when I come walking out of the darkness while he is mid-chug on a bottle of Bud...priceless.
My carry holsters and belts, both hip and shoulder, are "Uncle Mikes" nylon. Very quiet, tight, comfortable, and I've gotten good wear for the dollar. Are you required to wear leather? Mine are civilian use.
