Is your truck 6.9/7.3 N/A or turbo equiped....... Put up a signature with some truck info..... Please!!

The turbo equipped crosses forward of the intake the N/A crosses at the back 2 normally.

Check this pic........ N/A Engine

There MUST be sufficient slack between the cap/hose on opposite sides for the hose to lay flat.

Or is it possible the throttle linkage is hitting the cross over line?

Did you grease the o-rings before installation of the caps? I used my old caps and didn't have any problems.

I replaced mine with just the o-rings the first time and a few still seeped fuel. So, just last month I replaced the again and used new caps. I had to reuse the two middle caps on both sides because they where different than what came in the kit. But I didnt use any grease and I have had no problems at all with leaking this time. I may be wrong, but I heard that the new diesel fuel will make the o-rings and return lines get hard and start leaking and that if you buy sulffer replacement to add to the fuel, it will make them last alot longer.

When you slide the caps on, the o-rings will have a tendency to want to "roll" up out of the groove. Grease, oil, diesel fuel, anything that will lube the o-ring and make it slippery, along with wiggling the cap back and forth while installing it, will help the o-rings seat and seal properly.

Lubing o-rings is good practice whenever you are doing mechanical work on anything that requires them. Just make sure the lube is compatible with the fluid that you are sealing.

Yes and it is easy to nick the O rings when you install them.

I grease mine and the injector top before I even start trying to put the O rings on.

Seems to help them slide on without catching and decreases how far they fly if the slip off, well sometimes it does anyway.

Don't know if I am getting fumble fingers or what, I usually manage to lose at least one when I change mine.

That was for the NA engine.

The only difference is the turbo engine moved the cross over line up away from the turbo downpipe.

Normally the turbo motors have a single nipple return tee on the rear passenger side injector, return line runs toward the front.
That keeps the return line away from the downpipe.

How the lines run is not critical.

The only thing you have to have a return line connection to each injector, the IP and the fuel filter.

Cool return lines

my return lines do have a single nipple on the pass side like you sadi. the part i dont like is that the single line from the ip runs into the return lines not the return to tank line. so is it possible that the lines get pressured up and thats where i get the leak. the cross over is on the 3rd from the front.
