So today when I got home from work, pulled in driveway, shut her off, got out and notice that even though she wasn't running the fuel pump was humming a buzz song until I disconnected her battery.
What I know about trouble shooting EFI is somewhere between none and none whatsoever but is it possible there is a relay/solenoid some where in the system that has gone bad?
There is a fuel pump relay on the driver side fender apron -There are two relays the fuel pump and the EEC (ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL RELAY). The EEC relay runs the fuel pump relay. Replace both. When you turn the key the EEC relay energizes and provides power to the computer and provides a circuit to the fuel pump relay.
Thanks for the help. I have to get out the book and track down those relays. Looked them up on autozone etc, and not finding anything. Where do you guys order your hard to find ford truck parts?
