F150 1990 electrical problem`
I have a 1990 F150 with a 5.0 liter, my problem is when the truck warms up the volt meter spikes, and the battery light and check engine light comes on, i had the alternator checked and they told me it was good, I put a new negative wire on it and nothing changed, I talked with auto zone and the guy told me to check the voltage regulator on the alternator that when the truck heats up it could be shorting out. Can anyone help me.
