hi everyone. (almost)first post here. just picked up a 1993 f250 extended cab, 8' bed towing package with a 460 engine. by picked it up i mean volunteered to work on it for my dad in exchange for free use of it.

according to my father it needs the following... new gas tanks(dual), new exhaust, and the solid leaf spring mount on the rear drivers side.

my main question is what years will fit on this thing. aka, will a 95 gas tank work? a 97 exhaust? ill assume the exhaust will have to be modified if its from/for a short bed or non extended cab.. for now i plan on welding the leak closed, or patching it.. but what would i be looking at to have a shop bend a 3 inch exhaust up?

the first thing i'm tackling is the drivers side rear leaf spring mount. i am trying to figure out if ill have to drop the rear gas tank in order to replace this. if i do, that will decide if i will replace the tank(s) or just muddle through.

yes other parts fit, i think anything from 93 to 97 will work. almost any gas tanks are interchangable. and as long as its the same motor most exhaust will work. i would go the aftermarket route......but i like loud. dont know about the shackle or how to contact the moderator

 

thats surprising about the gas tanks. i figured those to be the most specific. especially since there are 2 tanks.

id like to go aftermarket as well, but more importantly i need to go cheap. and aftermarket does not equal cheap.
