You can get a fm modulator that has the antenna wire plug into it and then that plugs into the head unit.

before you hard wire a sat. radio for power (if this is a plug and play model) remember the newer radios run at like 5volts over a 12volt so if you hard wire there could be an issue with the radio. if it has a big bulky cig. plug then you might want to do some research before you cut the plug off.

I tapped into a wire behind the dash that was only hot when key was on.
And just let it use the FM broadcaster built in.
Then used my preset #1 tuned to that channel.
I liked mine down low out of the way, so put self sticking velcro on the back of the unit, and another piece on the hump of the floor, near the dash.
And then it was not too permanent, as it was just held by velcro.
I ind it easy to read there, and not a far reach either.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention the antenna.
I ran it thru an existing grommet in the firewall, and then tucked the wire into the rubber seqal on the edge of the windshiel, to the roof.
The magnet on the antenna held it to the roof without ever moving.
I at first tried it with the antenna on the front near the wiper blades, attached to whatever you call that piece of plastic from the hood, to the windshield thats say 4 inches wide or so.
But found it was no good unless the satelite it needed was in front of me.
If it was behind me I lost signal.
With it on the roof I only lose it briefly going thru tunnels, or under a bridge or overpass.
