Tsb Or Recall???
I have an 06 Freestar with the 4.2.....took it in to the dealer for a thump noise from the intake area, echoing into the air box. Dealer says they have to reflash the PCM due to the IAC. They say its TSB 6-22-8, AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER ESP COVERAGE. I called the ESP tech line and they said 6-22-8 is a recall and should be under the factory emission warranty due to the low mileage anyway(44,000). Who is correct?
I let the dealer know I called ESP and am not just going on what they say at the dealer, and they said right there that they would take care of it and reflash it.
