I'm sure this has been asked before but I run full mobil 1 regular full syn in my 08 Explorer V6 and my 08 Fusion I4. I changed the car at 7500 miles on an oil change and the oil was dark but not black which is acceptible to me. Now the explorer has 5000 on the current oil change. should i change the oil because of more wear and tear because of being the bigger vehicle moving around or do you think I will still be ok going to 7500 miles? thanks in advance on the input.

Seeing as how these are new vehicles, that are likely under warranty, follow the specified OCI, with the specified service grade & viscosity lube & if your doing the work yourself, log & sign the dates into the service manual & keep the reciepts for oil & filter purchases, in case of warranty claims.
I wouldn't do "extended" OCI's while under warranty, but if you do, then also opt for a UOA for the record.
