1992 4.9l efi build

I have a 1992 4.9l efi, and i was wondering if the stock computer will work with a built 4.9l? I plan on boring it .30 or .40 over adding a mild cam and headers. I love the 300 and dont want to go to a v8, im just looking for some more torque and hp for the truck pulls.

Outside of a MegaSquirt system you are basically stuck with the stock computer with few if any viable upgrades available. The Crane 503901 cam has been found by those who have used it to be computer friendly. Little to nothing is gained boring over what is necessary for cleanup.

Try the Advance Search...put in EFI and select this Forum and you should find some information.

Isky 256 Supercam shows as computer compatible in their catalog. DD projections show some impressive torque on the Mile-A-More and 256 at least with various carbed set ups.
