thanks to forum feedback I was able to determine where to install the brake handle in my 50 F1; problem is the holes are a full hole out , top to bottom. I thought that the original firewall cover was under the handle, possibly not and that's why I'm having problems installing mine over new PVC cover and insulation. Anyway I'm thinking about "elongating" the top holes to make it fit.
I replaced the floor in my cab, so not sure where the brake cable exited the cab, through floor. Anyone got pics of original location ?
The cable routes down from the handle and runs through to the outside in the top left hand corner (about 10 o'clock position) of the upper pedal plate (steering wheel pedal hole cover plate). Here's a pretty good picture:
Tom, IF no one responds by Wednesday AM and IF my 51 is the same and IF it has a emergency brake and/or hole would you like me take a picture for you?
(that’s three IF’s)
Well after elongating the top holes, the brake handle is painted and installed, now to install the cable through the firewall.
Also re-installed the electric wiper motor, going only with one wiper as per stock.
Checked out my instrument cluster gauges today, was surprised to learn that the meter coils are not polarity conscious. Only the ammeter has positive, negative polarity.
