300 sounding mean

You guys are probabally going to laugh at this setup. I was playing with my truck and I took off my glass pack and ran open exhaust, cut off at the transfer case. It sounded really loud, so I liked the sound but didn't want to let the cops hear it. That is when it hit me, I still had my stock muffler, one of those cheap RV mufflers. SO I cut the end off and gutted it. So essentially made a 2'X 8" tip. You talk about really mean. Still gotta watch for cops, but when I start it up in a parking lot with about a half pedal down EVERYONE snaps back and looks.HEHEHEHE so there's my Rednecked exhaust if anyone wants a tip for a mean sounding 300.

Oh thank you Gene I wished I lived on your street too. Cause all of my friends would help you sleep better at night by making backround music and helping you with your landscaping!! I say Make it loud and sound proud. Cause if you don't want to be noticed by a Chevy.

I know you are only 14, but someday, you too will have landscaping and not give a damn about some kid's irresponsibly-loud exhaust. Pride or not.

Read a little closer there Gene I'm 17 going on 18 here Dec 19. And you know what I will always care about the way my truck looks and sounds, I will never grow up as you put it, and when I'm older I hope my kids too will love to drive and be noticed. I see the reaction when I start my truck, the little smiles and "great truck" comments, but I don't mean to offend you. By no means is this Gene Stoners world where we all have to obide by his standards. So just for the sake of making Gene happy we all should put 3 mufflers on are trucks and not turn them on. No I am running wide open and loud. Just because one person doesn't like it doesn't mean that I'm going to listen. I LIKE LOUD EXHAUST!!!!!!!!! And I always will. SO NO Gene I don't care what you think. Its MY TRUCK!

way to be paul. loud is beautiful. and as far as loud being just for young immature people, my next door neighbor whos about 50 years old just put straight pipes on his 97 f150 5.4 and it sounds great. i asked him about it he said, well im an old fart but boy i love the sound of a loud truck. so it goes to show, gene, that its not just us young guys who haven't grown up yet that are out hellraising with loud exhausts. some people just take a certain pride in their truck thats different that what you like and thats the way it is.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. My grandfather is 80 and he had a set of duals put on his 5.4 F-150. It sounds good too. Age doesn't matter. MOST of everyone enjoys a loud engine.

If you have nothing to offer but ridiculing comments stay out of it and just keep your opinions to yourself.

hey geuss what my 2.9 bronco 2 has no muffler (louad as (&)&^ rumbles and spits when you let off the gas and its just barely legal as far as sound goes. my system is almost as loud so whats the prob. we like our ##### loud so we can be noticed. you like your quite so you can sneak in somewhere. my mom loves the worn out glasspack on her cougar. sounds like a true mustang. my grandfather like his loud 78 ranger. so its our style. you go somewhere and hug your factory mufflers im gonna go screem down at the mall and play tomgreen's "daddy would you like some sausage"

If you don't mind, I think I will chime in here:

Guys, why don't you just ignore this GeneStoner character? He is just a loud mouth with a bad attitude, nothing more. There will always be people like him, we just have to ignore them and know we are the better person for it.
Anyway, who cares what the stoner has to say when you can put your foot to the floor and hear the only sound that matters?

To Gene:
Get a life, bud. In my few visits to this forum you have not had ANYTHING positive to add. It's sad, it's pathetic, and I hope it ends soon.
