If it weren't for quality operators I wouldn't have a job.

Ain't that the truth. When I was building bus engines it was amazing how many drivers kept driving despite the Temp gauge, temp light, and then temp BUZZER! Or low oil light, and buzzer. Then they would bring it back and say "I don't know, it just quit running!" I've never seen a piston that bad, but I've seen them busted pretty good, normally from a LOT of ether.

It was still running when they brought it in the shop! He brought it in and said "no good...I dont know", shrugged his shoulders and grabbed another one...

They look like PMR rods to me. The rod looks good, the piston looks like the problem.

Coulda been lifting something very heavy and using the clutch to give the hydraulics more power. Over reved it and boom! Just a guess...most have a rev limiter thou.

I'm thinking it wouldn't start and they found a stray can of either... it was cyl #3 directly inline with the air intake.

Interesting Carnage, got to love the use of ether.

Kris not many people can rival your carnage pictures .
