04 Extended Cab Door Adjustment - search won't work
I know that this forum contains the info I need but for some reason I can't get my search to work. Can someone point me to a thread that will explain how to adjust the doors on an Extended Cab? The rear doors are closing well and don't move at all when closed but the fronts are starting to stick out a bit and there is a lot of wind noise. I looked at the latches in the front doors and the posts on the backs and there doesn't seem to be any adjustment. Am I just not seeing something obvious?
Thanks for any help

cyerger57 if you are taling about the driver and passenger doors you can adjust these with the latch on the extended cab door. I do not remember what the torx bit is but, you need to loosen the bolt on the striker and push it towards the seat. While pushing you need to tighten the bolts. There is little movement in the striker. This is what I did to my driver side door to pull it in about a 1/4". Hope this helps.

Thanks but I already tried that and when I loosened the torx bolts in the rear doors there was no movement to be had at all. I also tried loosened the screws that hold the latches that are in the front doors and there was no movement to be had there either. The funny thing is that the passenger door is much worse than the drivers door. I would have thought that the drivers door would have been worse from all the use it gets.

Thanks for the help but I got to a different computer that allowed the search function to work and found the following link:

While searching for this I found that a lot of you are having the same problem. It a shame that a $50K truck can't be put together so that things can be adjusted to keep these trucks looking and working good.
All I can say is Thank the good lord that there are places like "The Ford Truck Enthusiast" to get these kind of answers.
