Ranger center cap retainers?

Ranger center cap retainers?
I've got 4, plain Jane, 8 hole (not bolt holes, but slots in the wheels) Ranger steel wheels ('93-'97 era) and I need the stamped steel "retainers " that hold the center caps on. The retainers screw onto the wheels with 3 screws and the center caps snap onto them.
I have the wheels and center caps, but can't find the retainers.
I ordered a set online and was sent 4 lugs nuts. ? I guess lug nuts are retainers. Sort of.
Anyone with any info to the whereabouts where I could purchase them would be greatly appreciated.
