Glowing Pipes!!

I have a 01' F-250 V10. My pipes were glowing orange/red from the header to the Y on the drivers side while warming it up. Actually had a co-worker say, "hey dude, your trucks gonna catch on fire".

Anyone ever had this happen?

I'll bet you have a plugged catalytic converter.

Yeah look at the cat. If the cat is clogged both banks would be hot. Also would be a good time to go over the manifold bolts and change the o2 sensors while your in their. Would be a good idea to scan for codes just in case.

Upon cold start up, the left bank is running to rich, fuel is still burning in the exhaust, do you have any codes?
You could have a bad injector on that bank, Is it still that hot after its warmed up?

With the cat plugged that bad I would like you would notice a large decrease in performance. Also with it running that rich I would think you would notice a large drop in fuel mileage. You have either of those problems?
