I'm sure it's possible, but I think the reason the diesel engines use them is because they've got much higher compression (our trucks are like 8 to 1, I think Cummins is in the 20s to 1) and they're running forced induction on top of that. A low compression gas engine, especially a naturally aspirated 300, isn't going to see the kind of stress that would require them.
There are certain head gaskets though that do require you to modify your block and/or head for them to seal properly (racing gaskets, I believe).

You know I don't think the cummins where up to 20 to 1 compression I thought the only diesel that had 20 + to 1 compression where the N/A IDI's. I know the Powerstrokes 6.0 and 7.3 are like 16 to 1. But anyway beyond that diesels need high compression to run have you ever seen a cummins or powerstroke blow their turbo? So in gasser world wouldn't what the 300 has be considered high compression if we don't compare it to diesels and evenmore what kinds of things can be done to build even more compression the naturally aspirated way?
