Injectors
Just wandering IF ANYBODY HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN,the other morning I got up to go to work and started my truck it let it warm up,after a few minutes it idled up as it alwasy has. But when I went to go to work I was suprised to see smoke bellowing out the exhaust pipe. IToday when I wengt to work I didn't let it warm up,and 150yrds down the road at a red light I noticed smoke (wind was in right direction ).IT looked black or gery "it was 5:30 am !! Then after about 3/4 mile it was gone. I talked to the dealer who studded it and they said it could be an INJECTOR possibly they wanted me to bring it in.Thats when I informed them I was about 600miles away. They told me to take it to a dealership here in mississippi.ANY IDEAS or has this happened to anybody else?? THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT!!

Was it blowing smoke at idle when you got to work? If it is continueing blowing smoke at idle(or atleast your able to see it at idle), then there is a good chance that you have a leaking injector. Do you smell unburned fuel?

Smell the exhaust and see if you can smell fuel, if its bad enough it will burn your eyes out lol Def. sounds like you have an injector or two hanging open. How did the truck run when first started cold?

Do you mean when you first start it up and it sits for a minute? Based on ambient temp, the engine idles up to warm the engine. Mine idles down once it hits the "magic engine temp". I really need to do the high idle mod...

If it happened on cold mornings then it could be the factory idle up that is programmed in the computer.
