Abs kick'n in on dry roads?

hi all my abs started coming on on dry roads and now it dont do anything and my abs light is on? would that be a speed sensor?

Its possible. Do you have anyone nearby who can pull codes for you? That'll help you narrow it down to whats wrong. Does your speedo still work?

i will try to find someone to pull the codes, yes the speedo still works, and now the abs light is on all the time. i will get the code pulled and get back to you. thanks

Sometimes this is a sign that one of the front hub bearings is beginning to fail. The internal tone wheel is allowed to run out from under the ABS sensor, lighting the light.

Jack up one wheel and grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock. Try to move the tire in camber. Does it wiggle? That COULD be ball joints too, but it gives you a place to start looking.

It could be one of the ABS sensors of course if it is you have to replace the wheel hub.

The crap that they spray on the roads in the winter time eat up the ABS sensors. I had to replace both of them in mine a few years back. There are two harnesses, one front and one rear. I had the same issues that you are having.
