2006 4X4 problems
Hi Folks,
New to the forum, lotsa good info here!
I have a 2006 F150 XLT Super Cab with 4x4 problems. I've read the recall / tsb on the solenoid for the front hubs under the dash and such, and don't think that's my problem. I have an Easy Care warranty, and this will be my first time actually using it, we'll see how it goes. The truck's in the shop now, so it's getting fixed; my question is more general. It seems that the 2003 - 2006 (and maybe later) f150's with that shift on the fly 4x4 thing is really kinda crap. Lotsa peple seem to have problems with it. Does anyone know of an aftermarket company that's making a bolt on kit to take out the shift on the fly deal? I've driven Fords for years, and they've always had the transfer case shifter in the cab and the hub switch deals. Primitive but functional. I would like to find a kit that kinda brings me back to that. Thanks for your help!
