does anyone know if a sunvisor from an 80 series will fit a 79??? i know there not made for it but will it fit half way decent and still look good??????
They will fit, but you won't like it. Much Better to get them used or get a reproduction.
First, 1980-1996 visors are not as long as the original.
Second...
The 1980-1986 visors do not have a center pivot support . They are just attached from the Outer sides only. They notoriously wear out and sag in the middle. Whack your head while you drive down the road etc...
1987-1996 visors do have a center pivot. and is a great upgrade for a 1980-1986.
actually Donjamer is right, im talking bout the outside ones, i have an 80' series one sitting in my garage and was wondering if it will fit alright in my buddies 79'

yea sorry, i guess i didnt explain that one very well,
but has anyone done this before?????
Yes, a whole line of question marks has been posted before. ;)
Enough bull$%&...
There is so many things a guy can do, there seems to be no limit to it.
Many times -you- are the one that has to figure it out and then be the
ex-spurt when someone else asks. :) No kidding on that one. ;)
What happens more... a guy will ask, not get an answer, then go out
and figure it all out and -not bother- to post what he's learned. :(
Or bother to answer any questions about it either.
And then there's guys like me that post and rattle on way too stinkin
much! :/
Pity he isn't closer...I've got a brand new Lund visor with integrated cab lights sitting in the box in my garage for 73-79 trucks. I got it with the intention of installing it on Buford, but changed my mind after the fact. (I'm a bit retarded like that)
