I'm lookin' to get a DPF delete pipe on my 6.4 with either the spartan or the sct so i can get more horsepower and the regeneration takin off so i dont have any problems. Would it be better to get the SCT livewire or the Spartan?
That's all going to depend on who you talk with. We have two 08's and both have Spartan tunes. Have not had any problems at all. The power is amazing when you start running the higher hp tunes, and most do get an increase in economy. I've seen between a 3-4 mpg increase from stock, so I'm pretty happy. And, don't think you can find a better instrument that the DashDaq for monitoring everything on your truck.
I know the SCT comes with a dpf/cat delete, and the spartan just comes with a dpf delete. Do you still get plenty of smoke with the dpf and the spartan? and with that much added horsepower, will i need a new air intake?

I'm pretty sure you can also get the DPF/Cat delete from Spartan... I didn't find it listed on the site, so you may have to email them. And yes, you'll still get some smoke. As far as the intake, I would get one, otherwise you will suck the filter minder in and have to reset it if you really get on it... I don't think you can can go wrong with Spartan. Also, if I were you I would check out the DashDaq site. Plenty of info there and they have the add-on GPS, if you wish to purchase it and a lot more features coming out...
