That is a darn good price there Joe, as long as the shipping doesn't jack up the price. Never mind, I see they quote free shipping on orders over $50.
free shipping with them...but they are out of stock most of the time...call before you order..
Xtreme Diesel's free UPS ground shipping is available on purchases totaling $50.00 or greater for a limited time. This free shipping offer is good only to U.S. addresses within the 48 contiguous states, which excludes Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
I installed a dp tuner on my 02 7.3 ex about a week ago. I got the no start, stock, 1100 rpm hi idle, 60tow, 80 economy, 120 race and 140 agressive tunes. Holy smokes. It literally is like a new truck instantly! Another huge benefit is that my mileage has gone up nearly 80%, yes 80! I went over to go snowboarding in central oregon and rolled along at an average of 70 mph and mileage was about 19 mpg up from being about 11 prior to installation. My GF finally told me to can it and talk about something other than the improved fuel mileage.
One question I had is when I have it in 80 eco and really step on it I notice that the normally smooth sound of air traveling through my intake almost sounds like a popping instead of being smooth. Any idea what might cause this? One more question is has anyone found a good way to secure the plug into the back of the controller to change the tuners. I would hate to have it come out while going down the road.
pdx02,
Thanks so much. Glad to hear you like your chip. Enjoy your truck.
Diane

Cheapest place I've ever seen it. Make sure they have it in stock before ordering.
Just do yourself a favor, call first to see if they are in stock. I didn't check and ordered the WW and they said they would ship it out soon. I call back the next day to find out if they shipped it out and they said its on back order. I purchased this WW on the site and nothing on there about "Out of stock" and she didn't even say that the first time when taking my CC info. Canncelled the order, wouldn't have see the WW in two months, WHAT. And they charged me a 2.00 charge to my CC for their discrepence, CALL FIRST FOR AVAILABILITY. EDIT: What the guys said above also.
I might get one of them when uncle Sam returns my hard earned cash from 08. Well I NEED something, I surge big time when towing, its a PITA when you have to let off on a pull then everyone passes you.
I have had my turbo out when I put my veggie kit on the truck as I opened the deadhead and made it a flow through design. Taking the turbo off it a PITA. Has anyone done the upgrade where the new wheel is added with the turbo still on?
I did, but I watched the video on YouTube with Scuffy first. It gives you a quick run down and gives the impression that it only takes 15 minutes, but DON'T BE FOOLED. It takes about 6 hours and you NEED a 12-point socket to get the housing bolts off.

LOL.... Ain't that the truth!! The ATS has been back-ordered as well. I got my ATS last month by getting EXTREMELY lucky, and got a good deal on it to boot!
Have you tried Ron from Ron's Turbo Service? His number is in his eBay store, and he picks up the phone, or calls you back right away. I figured I'd catch him first thing Monday morning, so I left him voice mail Sunday night. He called back THAT night! Ron is my go-to guy for turbo stuff, hands down...
