No.Took the kids hunting and going down the hiway I noticed it.I did run over a limb that got hung up over axel but can"t find any damage.I did use the emergency brake and I never use it.
Mine came on like that when my alternator went out when truck was new but put a new one on last week and that was the first thing I checked. It was a solid 14 volts.
I believe it was my VSS (vehicle speed sensor) that went south when mine came on. They sell, or sold them at napa as an ABS sensor. This sensor is located on the top of the rear diff pumpkin.
If it happened right after you ran over a branch, there are speed sensors at each wheel that has ABS (you didn't tell us what year truck or if you have 4wabs), so triple checking all the wires near each wheel that has ABS would be a good idea. For grins you can also check the round sensor on the hyrdo-boost (master cylinder) to see if it's leaking brake fluid.
If you don't find anything, you'll probably just need to get the codes read instead of throwing money at it.
Nice pic in the Avatar. I guess that was the last second you were clean that day?
Thanks. The photo is my Daughter goat tying at the IFYR in Shawnee OK in 2006.Usually there is a water ration and no burn but that year they had record rain.It is my horse. We are going to Gallup NM this summer so I hope if I have problems there is wireless net.
I thought calf roper was an unusual name for a female, but who knows anymore. A wireless phone card is another option to consider if you'll be making lot's of trips. Kind of pricey, but beats paying mechanics bills.
I could use a little record rainfall around here this year.
Might want to check the front wheel hubs. When my wheel bearing started to go out the light came on, hopefully not. Like the others have said check the rear diff for the speed sensor might just need to clean it off.
