91 Bronco; Brake Troubles?

So, I recently purchased a 1991 25th anniversary bronco and it's had a few things wrong with it and for the most part I have fixed. But I am confused on the brakes. If I push on the pedal slowly the brakes are very spongey and don't really do much until I reach the floor. On the other hand if I press on them hard/quickly then they work great. I have come to the conclusion that the brakes either need bled or it's a a bad brake booster. Any thoughts?

welcome to fte.

any special reason you are not posting on the bronco forum?

the brakes on a bronco has abs that is different from f150 rabs.

i suggest you ask the moderator in red up at the top to move you.

good luck.

Bleed the brakes 1st, if that doesn't work it's probably your master cylinder not your booster. Also you may want to take off the rear wheels and check the shoes to make sure they aren't wet. If they are, you've got a bad wheel cylinder. Make sure your master cylinder is full of brake fluid before you bleed the brakes.
