Turn signal question.

Did the '60 come with stock turn signal assembly on the column? I've looked at LMC, Dennis Carpenter, and Vintage Ford, and I have no clue where to get a stock looking turn signal lever and the like.

I believe they did, But the Colonel would know better. I know th eresto parts places sell the *****, but as far as the actual handle, I've never seen them. Does your switch have anything in there that might be broken off, or did someone just cannibalize it.

It wouldn't be hard to make one. Or, as people post here with 1960s trucks, possible ask someone who may be replacing a stock column with a different on if they have an extra.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
J!

The parts catalog I have only shows a turn signal switch starting in '61. I don't much about post '52 truck so I might not have the best information. Some one will be along soon I sure to let you know.

My 56 Custom cab had built in turn signal switch in the stock column, so they were available at least that far back. Do you have the switch in the column and just need the handle and ****, or are you looking for the complete assembly? ASAIK a stock column without the switch cannot be retrofitted with the switch, you would need a column that came with the switch from the factory. Number Dummy could provide more complete info.

Turn signals were an option on all trucks thru 1962.

The factory installed turn signal switches are not the same as the dealer installed turn signal switch kits.

Aftermarket suppliers also sold a turn signal switch kit.

The parts catalog no longer shows a part number for a kit for a 1957/60 F100/350, but does show one for a 1959/60 F700/1100, and I found one of these NOS.

Will it work? Dunno: B9TZ13A300A = Green Sales has it = 800-543-4959.

If your truck never had turn signals, you only have single filament bulbs, and you need double filament bulbs with turn signals.

The parking light bulb sockets you have now are for singles, you'll need to change to doubles, and the turn signal kit did not come with these components.

There was a separate kit for the park lamp lamp bodies, which came with the sockets.

The turn signal lever is the same 1957/60, and has a black ****: C0KF13305AP

If you need just the lever (which also fits 1961/66 F100/250 4WD's & 1960/62 Customs & Galaxies)...

Wesley Obsolete Parts in Liberty KY has NINE = 606-787-5293.

Thanks ND. I have turn signals right now, but with that hideous silver replacement assembly that just bolts onto the column.
