I just had my RF hub pulled. Was quoted $100 R&R. '05 SD diesel 4x4 - at a Ford dealer. He did the R&R. no probs. Spent a bit more labor finding that the exhaust was hitting the frame. Total bill was $167!

I think its high too but I just want to know exactly what a hub service entails
I can't imagine what the service it? Remove brake caliper, rotor, 4 bolts holding bearing in. add dab of grease on needle install all? Or remove hub clean internals, lube and install?
The hubs are easy enough to do at home if really needed. I just have a hard time picturing what the service really is. I have done my own hub/bearing replacement at home.
