ic boot cleaning benefits??????

just cleaned my tubes and boots today. not that bad and from what i've read they where normal. lite coating of oil on all of inside and enough to make a "little" puddle on boots on the ends. anyway,
other than being clean and keeping excessive oil out of the turbo what are the benefits of me doing this??????

Having a engine compartment you can eat off of?? Also keeps the boots from blowing off as easy at high boost levels if you have the mods to support high boost levels.

You also get a good look at them to check for holes or tears and that they are tight when you're done. Plus "Idle hands are the Devil's workshop"

This is what mine looks like after cleaning the boots. I think it looks better with clean boots.

Well, I am going to DP, leaving tomorrow. Do you think it wouldn't look as good? Jody will be under the hood, got to look the part. I will take a new pic when I get back from DP. . But the same beer and holder will be in the same place, in fact, it's sitting right next to me right now.

This might be a good time to do the CCV mod, it'll keep them boots clean, without the oily mess. Do a search if your interested, alot of info, piece of cake. Rick, have a safe and enjoyable trip tomorrow, can't wait to hear the results, hi-jack over.

D@mn it Rick, I've been trying to rep you for a few days and the PO-LICE still has me. That's one clean engine you got there.

Thats ok Lee, I have more then I deserve. Thanks for the compliment on my engine. I bought this truck new, and kept it this way from the begining. In fact, I have kept every vehicle I have owned this way. The engine is the heart of the truck.
