Tires

Well I've finished rebuilding the front end on my Porsche 911, (warm up for the truck) and as soon as I finish the tie rods, radius arm bushings, new shock bolts, and lower the rear 2", I'm gonna need tires and alinment. I have 7" rims with 235/75/15's but I want to lower the profile. Does anyone know the width limit of 7" rims? I'm thinking along the lines of 255/70's or 265/70's. The 235/75 has a profile of 176.25mm, 255/70 is175.5mm, and the 265/70 is185.5mm. 265/65 is 172.25. I just want a "flatter" look without looking like I just crossed the border. No roller board look, not to small.

Whada ya'll think?

I find the BF Goodrich site very helpful when it comes to deciding on widths, heights, etc. Try these favorite sites: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com

Well I think if you want a lower profile you should go down to the 50 series rather than 70's or 65's. I have 295/50/15's on the rear of my truck and it's as wide as I can go on stock 7 1/2" rims. Mind you if I had wider rims they would look much better.
