I watched the episode of trucks today on spiketv and the 95 ford lightning beat a chevy SS454 by almost a full second on the 1/8th of a mile track. Homboy might be braggin to his friends how he beat you, but once his friends see what you're driving and why. They'd tell him he's full of s@#*

I thought that was awesome. Just like in real life, the Chebbie guy is always talking smack about the Ford. I was elated when the Lightning driver beat him - by nearly two and half lengths. Notice how the Lightning driver never talks badly about the Chebbie?
I don't see how you can brag about beating down a small block with a big block anyway. If you win, whoopy doo, you beat a small block, but if you lose, you just lost to a small block. Ha!
Heck yeah, All chevy guy's brag on their ride and us ford guy's just sit back and let'em talk. Then we go and beat'em and still maintain silence and they still run their mouths givin you an excuse on why they just lost.
How bout this for an idea.. You go back and race him if he agrees to race you in your desired spot this time. Then go out find the muddiest mud hole you can find. Go race and when his POS Chev gets stuck leave him where he sits.
As far as Racing goes, there are ALOT of EXT. cab White Chevy z71s. I can get most of them, The 4.8, is the only one that gets me. I can get the 5.3 and 5.7 Vortecs. Dunno why, but I can. I guess that 4.8 is just lighter, but I get them off the start every time.

that was an old episode,a few months ago they ran several shows and had to do quite a bit of work to both trucks, then put them on the dyno. I couldn't believe what a pooch that big block chevy was. i can't remember the exact horsepower, but it wasn't a whole bunch over 200. just think there was one here at a local dealer for sale last week for $10,000,i could have bought it
Yeah, I saw that it 1st aired on 10-18-08, but I just got to see it today. I watched the very first one where they were both stock and the ford still beat it. If I remember correctly the chevy had 190hp to the ground and the ford put down 221hp. they both had about the same amount of miles on them.

That's what I tell the young punk neighbor up the road with his 07 dodge Ram lowered on 18's......I say "sure, meet me on the powerlines in about 15 minutes"......I don't think he could make it down the access road to get to the powerlines....
And speaking of "trucks!", you all see Ted Nugent's Bronco on Gears? Stacey David aired it out and did some rust repair......pretty sweet....
dont feel too bad man..my friend has a 06 chevy colorado 4 cyl and i have a 87 f150 4x4 with 33" tires and a 300 with granny gear..he wanted to pull against me and i lost horribly..i just let it be..no more then 2 hours later we were muddin and he tried to go and got stuck no more then 5 yards in the pit..when i got done pullin him out w/ no struggles/tire spin at all in 2wd i just simply said "dont feel so high and mighty now do you" and left it at that

Wait, do you mean he out-pulled you, as in you hooked up chains from your bumper to his, or do you mean a race?
hooked to bumpers and pulled..i keep up to him in a race no problem without even downshifting at all though haha..but yes he pulled me while we were chained up
as far as gears i'm not quite sure my id tag is missing from the rear

How is your friend's colorado set up? Is it 4x4? Does he have big tires too?
My 300 would never outrun a 4-banger, but I'd pull him all over the world. What are you geared?
2wd four cylinder everything stock except tires he has original tire size just put new good year tires on it 5 speed manual..only mod is the radio and im sorry i missed the question in your last post i'm not sure what my gears are my id tag is missing from the rear and i havent bothered jackin the truck up to check it

Buddy, it sounds like it's time for you to either install some deeper gears or go back to OE sized tires and challenge him to pull again. A 300 should walk all over any 4-cyl in the pulling compartment.
I just smoked a Chevy, I put my digital camera on a fixture and thought I turned it on, and went for a little ride.I was coming back to the house but turned around to make a blast back up the road and this guy pulled out in front of me w/late model Chevy .So I passed him up and he got on it. I let him catch up to me, then it was on. He had a little somthin` somthin` but I just walked away. We gave each other the thumbs up after but I didn`t turn the camera on to record it.Bummer ,I was going to put it on U-Tube.
