Guys i need some help. ive been underneath my Ex. 3x with the powerstroke manual. according to the pic. there is a lever that you rotate outwards to drain the water. i know what i'm looking at and see no lever. whats up?

 

On the lower area of the HFCM - Do you see a brass plug with a hex head (6 mm allen wrench fits into the head)?

I seem to recall that maybe the early econoline's had a drain lever - but I do not know for sure. The plug is your drain - you will get messy when you use it. When you tighten it nack up - DO NOT over-tighten it. the o-ring does the sealing. You can strip it out.

FYI - there is an aftermarket plug that makes things a lot easier:
