Hey... I am running into a slight problem with my PSD. At idle (about 600 RPM) the truck has a really bad rattleing/grinding noise, almost like something is hitting the flywheel, but nothing is touching it. If I rev it up to about 750 the rattle goes away. Truck temp doesn't matter, and it does it no matter if it's out of gear, clutch in, or in gear if it gets below the 750 RPM mark. Is it just idling too low or what? Thanks for any help.

 

Probably your dual mass flywheel. Is the flywheel stock? If so its a DMF and they make lots of noise when they go bad

 

I believe it is the stock flywheel. Truck has 220k on it so I'm sure its worn out. How much do replacements usually cost?
