Does anyone have a 1406 Edelbrock carb on a 302 with a auto trans? I have been having trouble finding a good spot for the return spring. It binds up and the throttle sticks or first thing in the morning when I hit the gas it will stick. Right now I have the return spring going to a bracket to the front of the intake. I would love to see pictures on how you have your hooked up. Thanks!
Just a suggestion for you, I had one of those on my chevy 350, I used a bracket that was on the back of the intake manifold (trans side) and put the spring there. Maybe you could make a bracket in the same place and try that, I never had any problems.

I think summit sells a kit. When I went from EFI to carb, I just bent the throttle body bracket and took the end of the spring and screwed it down to the intake. Probably not the best way, but it worked perfect.
heres an old pic of mine.......if i can remember right, the front spring hooks around water temp sensor.....for safety, you want 2 springs.....this is a 351w/ c4
