Thanks for the welcome guys. I posted in a different section of this forum and I'll post it here also.
Alright, here we go. My name is Fernie (Fernando) and I am 50 years old and have lived here in So. Cal. (Pasadena area) all my life. I just picked up a 1970 F-250 Camper Special w/390ci and auto trans. My neighbor of 40+ years just passed away 2 months ago. Her family was here to settle her estate and they put her truck up for sale. I payed $850.00 for it and it is in excelent condition. It runs unbelievely well. The body is absoloutly straight. The motor has 126,000 miles and purrs like it is brand new. It doesn't leak or burn oil. The tires are 10 years old but only have 12,000 miles on them. My neighbor (Vesta was her name) was the original owner. She has every single repair invoice for the truck as well as the original bill of sale. You see, Vesta was 40 years old when she bought this truck and being single, as long as I knew her, had the local Ford dealers maintain the truck. It also has a 2 year old paint job (Earl Schibe). The only negative is the color. It's is a desert brown (it's kind of like the tan on military Hummers. All I have done is wash and wax this truck and it sparkles. Oh yeah, its dash is cracked. A couple of gaskets and seals and it will be like new!
BTW, if it's OK with you So. Cal. guys I might meet you at In-N-Out this Sunday

Welcome to FTE & the SoCal Chapter.
There's another chapter member that has a 1970, but his is a Crew Cab.
Just Dashes (justdashes.com) located in the Van Nuys can repair your dash, but they charge and arm and a leg.
If you need any parts, I can help you. I can look up all the numbers, search for obsolete parts on two internet websites.
Pasadena Ford closed in August, they had been in the same location since 1921.
I got all their parts catalogs, some of which I didn't have, because they are almost impossible to find.
They thankfully never threw anything away.
If you have any questions regarding your truck, I'll be at the GTG on Sunday.

Welcome Fernie. I look forward to meeting you and your new truck.
She's a beauty. I like the color personally. And if you wanted to, it would be a good base color for a desert camo pattern.
You need new tires!!!
Oh BTW, are you a shooter? I recognise the location of your first photo as the entrance to the old San Gabriel Valley Gun Club, next door to Vulcan Rock. It's been closed for a few years now.
