I am not getting any black smoke under a hard acceleration. Should I consider turning the fuel up? I am not looking to be pouring smoke, but would like optimum performance. Thanks for your input
It seems to running fine, but I am new to the 6.9 and diesel all together. I just thought I would have more power. I have Banks Sidewinder, 4'' exhaust all the way back, seems to be a good set up. I just don't know much about these motors. Thanks for your help.
The bigger exhaust probably does give you some more room for fuel. If you want, you could probably do as RCrawler says but a pyrometer is still a good idea.
Thanks for the input guys. I do have a pyrometer, so not too worried about getting too hot. I am not sure what the previous owner did, but am thinking that turning the fuel up will make a big difference. By doing this, am I going to drastically lose mpg? Thanks again.
I have not let the pyrometer go over 950, it is located on the passenger side, on the bottom exhaust that comes out of the turbo. It is the flattened pipe that is crammed under there. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the help.
