Hey bobj how is the F4 going? have not seen an update in a while. I read in vintage truck mag that they only made 10,003 F4s in 1948. 6,695 in '49, 7,591 in '50, 5,433 in '51, and 4,490 its last year in '52.
1554 is spectacular. Have you ever had Obsidian Stout? It's about the blackest you can get here in the states. Not quite the burnt wood flavor you get with a smoked porter either.
The Snowcap, from Pyramid in Seattle, is another really good one this year. You don't have to age it as much as last years. 08' Jubelale needs to sit for a few months though. I have one case under the house for July 4th weekend. Winter Hook for this year also needs to sit for awhile. Anchor Christmas is almost gone from the shelves already. The recipe changes a little every year and it is by far my favorite off the shelf brew. The tree on the label changes every year also, for anyone that collects bottles.

I have not tried that either of those but am quickly making a list LOL. Ill let you know as soon as I do. If you get a chance to get a holr of some Abita their turbo dog is great as well as their abita amber. I really like shiner bock as it is readily available at most places and is very satisfiying.
Everything made by Stone Brewery deserves to be savored! Chimay is an acquired taste. It's really good, I've just never really gotten to the Belgian style ales. I might be able now though-only 2 1/2 days on the job and some rat *******s from California decided to protest our contract again with the GAO. I'm officially retired, again.
Start out with a couple lighter ales before downing the Imperial. Maybe a pale and then a brown would do it. The stuff is really good with steak also. I had some Samuel Smiths Taddy porter at our 'unemplyed again' get together last night. I do like the darker brews.
Robert Earl Keen Jr, Amarillo Highway part of a verse: There's a girl in her bare feet a sleep on the back seat and the trunk's full of Pearl beer and Lonestar. Regional beer. some of it is better than the well water we had growing up some of it isn't. Ouch!!!
